Emoticons and Smilies in Official Email

Be careful when you use those little symbols of your mood in your official emails. If you are sending an email to someone who is higher in authority to you or you do not have cordial relationship with then avoid using them. You can come across as non serious , non professional worker. If the same email you are sending to some one you are informal with you can use smilies in that official email. But you should be 100 percent positive that this email of yours will not be forwarded to someone higher in rank to you.
If you receive such mail then make sure you edit out all the smilies if you need to forward that email.

Farting sounds in cubicles.

I know , I know farting sound is funny . People have fun making this sound and giggle or laugh it off . But there is nothing funny about making that sound in an office cubicle. The customers who can listen to the sound of some one's body agitating against their food consumption habits , do not appreciate it. Most of your coworkers would rather listen to some music than that non rhythmic sound emanating from some body's behind.
